Do I have ice pick headaches? Help me please!!?
Hello.I have headaches that I believe are " ice pick headaches" I have about 20 headaches an hour sometimes every day, or almost every day. They last for 10 seconds and occur every 2 minutes and in one hour that's about 20 25 headaches. they usually stay with me all day if I get one for that day I don't have any other symptoms, and about 2 months ago I had a MRI done, and everything looked normal... These headaches do NOT respond to any medicine for pain. Tylenol Advil, aspirin. nothing. What can I do to make these go away? Its very annoying having a headache every 2 minutes Can anyone tell me more about them??Also the pain is a short sharp stabbing pain, only seconds long. but occurs a million times a day no ,matter what im doing..

Can poor circulation to the brain cause ice pick headaches?
I have been have really bad ice pick headaches for a few days now and was suspecting if it is poor blood circulation to my head.. If what I am asking makes no sense then nevermind because I am not very aware of these kind of things. Any answers or ideas will be welcome. Little edit Well, I am not very sure if it's ice pick headaches but, from what I have read from health sites it seems to match.

Am I suffering from ice pick headaches? or should I see a doctor?
So I do suffer from migraine. I have forever and am on a beta blocker and immitrex. Lately, however, besides the migraines I have been getting these sharp, short headaches in different areas of my head. They seem to almost pulsate and can take my breath away, depending on their severity. I only get a couple a day. Is this something that I should see a doctor about or am I being a little over cautious? I also was in a car accident in October and was diagnosed with whiplash. I only went to the doctor once as it seemed to have 'cleared up' on it's own.

Ice pick headaches with no migraines (18 yrs. old)?
I get there short bursts of pain usually on the right side of my head near my temple pretty much every other hour. The only last like 10 seconds sometimes less, sometimes more but they are very painful and sometimes they cause my eye to twitch and hurt. I have researched these types of headaches and I have come up with a name that fits, ice pick headaches. I do not have a history of migraines nor does my family. I recently turned 18 and this started a little less than a year ago. It worries me. Any one know what is wrong?

Ice Pick Headaches? Help!!!!!?
For the last two or three days Ive been awoken by this sharp pin on the right side of my head near my crown above my ear about two or three inches. The pain lasts for two seconds and quits. It may do it two times and its done. I go back to sleep. Now today I get up and I have one of the aches while awake It then does it two minutes later same spot same intensity every time. It does it three minutes later and then 10 minutes later. It hasnt dont it for 20 minutes or so now but I read about ice pick headaches and it seems to fit me perfectly. Only problem it says its usually around the temple and mine isnt. Does this matter? I hate to go to a doctor to have him send me home with Tylenol. I know it isnt no brain hemorrhage. The pain doesnt worsen when bending ect. It just comes out of the blue. I 26 btw.HELP

Has anyone ever experienced an "ice pick headache"?
Also know as " primary stabbing headache" . I've been getting these types of headaches for awhile, but lately they have been coming more frequently. They seem pretty harmless from what I have been reading online. Has anyone been to the dr. to have them checked out and it turned out to be something more than just a headache?
